Clear your Sunday afternoon plans: Todd Snider is playing a free show here in East Nashville.
The event kicks off at noon on the front lawn of Woodland Presbyterian Church, close to Five Points, and brings Snider and friends out for an hour-plus jam.
The free show comes in celebration of his new, East Nashville-inspired record, Eastside Bulldog (out today), and to lend some help to neighbors in need.
The Woodland Church community is passionate about helping hungry neighbors, and Snider’ll be passing around a donation hat at the show, welcoming attendees to pitch in to fund Woodland’s weekly “Saturday Suppers,” open to anyone who needs a meal.
Feel free to bring a picnic blanket and the picnic to go with it (and, hopefully, a little cash for the cause). Snider and friends are scheduled to jam noon to 1:30.
Woodland Presbyterian is located at 211 N 11th Street. More about the church at woodlandpresbyterianchurch.com.
